The racial makeup of the town was 97.0% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.1% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.2% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.2% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.5% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 3.9% of the population.

The racial makeup of the town was 98.01% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.09% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.26% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.09% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.35% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.21% from two or more races. Public education in the town of Mountain View is provided by [[Uinta County School District Number 4|Uinta County School District #4]]. The district operates two campuses - Mountain View Elementary School (grades K-5) and Mountain View Middle School (grades 6–8) which were combined into one new building in 2015, and [[Mountain View High School (Wyoming)|Mountain View High School]] (grades 9-12).
