During the summer, afternoons are very warm to hot and generally very clear: the median rainfall is only 0.11 in in August and 0.13 in in July, and more than one-fifth of months in this period have no more than a trace of rain. Between June 15 and September 18 of 1932 there were ninety-six days without even a trace of rainfall. Temperatures will reach 90 F on an average of twenty afternoons, though 100 F can be expected only twice each year. The hottest temperature on record has been 111 F on July 27 of 1939. Summer mornings are comfortable: as early as August 29, 1980 temperatures of 31 F were reported. Winters are cold if not usually severe: maxima top freezing on all but twenty afternoons and only two mornings each winter will fall to or below 0 F, with the coldest temperature being −22 on January 26 and 27 of 1957, and the coldest maximum temperature on December 31, 1968. By the middle of spring afternoon temperatures are typically extremely pleasant at around 60 F, but mornings remain chilly well into spring and the last freeze can be expected around May 7. Precipitation is very low due to the rain shadow of the Cascades and the valley location, being around 4 in lower than even the driest areas in the Olympic rain shadow like Sequim. The wettest month on record has been December 1964 with 6.11 in, but no other month has passed 5 in. The wettest "rain year" has been from July 1947 to June 1948 with 17.51 in and the driest from July 1967 to June 1968 with 5.49 in, whilst he most precipitation in one day has been 1.67 in on January 9, 1953. Snowfall averages 17 in, but varies greatly between years: in January 1950 54.4 in fell and led to a total of 65 in for the full season, but in many years there is little snow – there was only a trace of snowfall between July 1957 and June 1958, only 2.6 in between July 2002 and June 2003, and 3.0 in between July 1976 and June 1977. {{Weather box | width = auto | collapsed = yes | single line = yes | location = Moro, Oregon (1991–2020 normals, extremes 1898, 1917–present) | Jan record high F = 68 | Feb record high F = 68 | Mar record high F = 75 | Apr record high F = 89 | May record high F = 100 | Jun record high F = 113 | Jul record high F = 111 | Aug record high F = 110 | Sep record high F = 100 | Oct record high F = 88 | Nov record high F = 72 | Dec record high F = 65 | year record high F = | Jan high F = 40.1 | Feb high F = 44.9 | Mar high F = 52.3 | Apr high F = 58.8 | May high F = 67.4 | Jun high F = 74.3 | Jul high F = 84.0 | Aug high F = 83.8 | Sep high F = 75.8 | Oct high F = 62.2 | Nov high F = 48.4 | Dec high F = 39.5 | year high F = 61.0 | Jan mean F = 32.3 | Feb mean F = 35.5 | Mar mean F = 41.2 | Apr mean F = 46.7 | May mean F = 54.5 | Jun mean F = 60.7 | Jul mean F = 68.5 | Aug mean F = 68.2 | Sep mean F = 60.6 | Oct mean F = 49.2 | Nov mean F = 38.5 | Dec mean F = 31.8 | year mean F = 49.0 | Jan low F = 24.5 | Feb low F = 26.2 | Mar low F = 30.1 | Apr low F = 34.5 | May low F = 41.6 | Jun low F = 47.0 | Jul low F = 53.0 | Aug low F = 52.6 | Sep low F = 45.4 | Oct low F = 36.2 | Nov low F = 28.7 | Dec low F = 24.2 | year low F = 37.0 | Jan record low F = -22 | Feb record low F = -15 | Mar record low F = 1 | Apr record low F = 18 | May record low F = 18 | Jun record low F = 27 | Jul record low F = 34 | Aug record low F = 31 | Sep record low F = 21 | Oct record low F = 7 | Nov record low F = -9 | Dec record low F = -20 | year record low F = | precipitation colour = green | Jan precipitation inch = 1.47 | Feb precipitation inch = 1.06 | Mar precipitation inch = 0.97 | Apr precipitation inch = 0.96 | May precipitation inch = 0.96 | Jun precipitation inch = 0.57 | Jul precipitation inch = 0.18 | Aug precipitation inch = 0.20 | Sep precipitation inch = 0.43 | Oct precipitation inch = 1.06 | Nov precipitation inch = 1.54 | Dec precipitation inch = 1.61 | year precipitation inch = 11.01 | unit precipitation days = 0.01 in | Jan precipitation days = 11.1 | Feb precipitation days = 8.9 | Mar precipitation days = 9.5 | Apr precipitation days = 9.2 | May precipitation days = 7.5 | Jun precipitation days = 4.8 | Jul precipitation days = 1.8 | Aug precipitation days = 1.7 | Sep precipitation days = 2.9 | Oct precipitation days = 8.3 | Nov precipitation days = 11.6 | Dec precipitation days = 12.2 | year precipitation days = 89.5 | Jan snow inch = 5.3 | Feb snow inch = 2.5 | Mar snow inch = 0.7 | Apr snow inch = 0.0 | May snow inch = 0.0 | Jun snow inch = 0.0 | Jul snow inch = 0.0 | Aug snow inch = 0.0 | Sep snow inch = 0.0 | Oct snow inch = 0.2 | Nov snow inch = 2.2 | Dec snow inch = 5.7 | year snow inch = 16.6 | unit snow days = 0.1 in | Jan snow days = 3.8 | Feb snow days = 1.7 | Mar snow days = 0.6 | Apr snow days = 0.0 | May snow days = 0.0 | Jun snow days = 0.0 | Jul snow days = 0.0 | Aug snow days = 0.0 | Sep snow days = 0.0 | Oct snow days = 0.0 | Nov snow days = 1.0 | Dec snow days = 3.5 | year snow days = 10.6 | source = NOAA<ref name="NOWData">{{cite web |url = https://www.weather.gov/wrh/climate?wfo=pdt |title = NOWData -
