No numbered highways serve Modena directly. Main thoroughfares in the borough include Union Street, Modena Road, Mortonville Road and Hephzibah Hill Road, all of which intersect near the center of town.

The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#2000 census|racial makeup]] of the borough was 75.57% White, 18.03% African American, 0.49% Native American, 1.80% from other races, and 4.10% from two or more races. There were 200 households, 45.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.5% were married couples living together, 23.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% were non-families. 14.5% of households were made up of individuals, and 3.5% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 3.05 and the average family size was 3.33.
