==Geography==
The community is located on the west side of the Mill Creek floodplain just north of the Union-[[Alexander County, Illinois|Alexander]] county line. [[Illinois Route 127]] passes through the town connecting to [[Jonesboro, Illinois|Jonesboro]] approximately seven miles to the north and [[Cairo, Illinois|Cairo]] about 24 miles to the south.<ref>''Mill Creek, IL,'' 7,5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle, USGS, 1947 (1990 rev.)</ref>

The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]].

There were 29 households, out of which 44.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 3.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.5% were non-families. 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 3.26.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 31.6% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 39.5% from 25 to 44, 14.5% from 45 to 64, and 9.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females, there were 117.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 126.1 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $16,563, and the median income for a family was $25,417. Males had a median income of $21,875 versus $15,000 for females.
