==History==
Menlo was located on the Union Pacific Railroad as it existed at the time. The racial makeup of the city was 98.4% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 1.6% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.6% of the population.

The racial makeup of the city was 98.25% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], and 1.75% from two or more races.

There were 22 households, out of which 40.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, and 45.5% were non-families. 40.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.83.

School unification consolidated Menlo, [[Rexford, Kansas|Rexford]] and [[Selden, Kansas|Selden]] schools forming [[Unified School District|USD]] 316 Golden Plains.
