==Demographics==
As of the census<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 3,594 people, 1,517 households, and 929 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|601.6|/sqmi|/km2|disp=preunit|people&nbsp;|people|abbr=out}}. There were 1,606 housing units at an average density of {{convert|268.8|/sqmi|/km2|abbr=out}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 84.20% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.11% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 3.84% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 5.04% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.39% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 2.84% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 2.59% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 5.98% of the population.

There were 1,517 households, out of which 28.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.5% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.7% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.90.

In the CDP, the age distribution of the population shows 23.0% under the age of 18, 12.2% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.9 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $39,902, and the median income for a family was $43,194. Males had a median income of $35,875 versus $27,167 for females. About 11.3% of families and 15.6% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 25.5% of those under age 18 and 8.2% of those age 65 or over.
