'''Mariala National Park''' is a [[national park]] in [[South West Queensland]], Australia, 810&nbsp;km west of [[Brisbane]]. Mariala lies within the [[Mulga Lands]] bioregion and the [[Shire of Quilpie]] local government area.<ref name="wetland">{{cite web |url=http://wetlandinfo.ehp.qld.gov.au/wetlands/facts-maps/national-park-mariala/ |title=Mariala National Park |work=WetlandInfo |publisher=Department of Environment and Heritage Protection |access-date=13 January 2015 }}</ref> It is located with the water catchment areas of the [[Bulloo River|Bulloo]], [[Paroo River|Paroo]] and [[Warrego River|Warrego]] rivers.<ref name="wetland"/> Mariala covers {{Convert|269.2|km2|sqmi|0|abbr=on}}.<ref name="wetland"/>

The park was part of the Ambathala pastoral holding which operated from 1875 until the early 1980s.<ref name="nch">{{cite web |url=http://wetlandinfo.ehp.qld.gov.au/wetlands/facts-maps/national-park-mariala/ |title=Nature, culture and history |date=9 October 2013 |publisher=Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing |access-date=13 January 2015 }}</ref>  In 1982, the area became a scientific reserve, making it the first protected area to preserve part of Queensland's extensive Mulga Lands.  A decade later, it was declared a national park.<ref name="nch"/>

A total of six rare or threatened species have been identified in the national park.<ref name="wetland"/>  These include [[Major Mitchell's cockatoo]] and the rare [[square-tailed kite]].<ref name="nch"/>
