'''Marenisco Township''' is a [[civil township]] of [[Gogebic County, Michigan|Gogebic County]] in the [[U.S. state]] of [[Michigan]].  The population was 455 at the [[2020 United States census|2020 census]], a significant decrease from 1,727 at the [[2010 United States census|2010 census]].

The [[unincorporated community]] of [[Marenisco, Michigan|Marenisco]] is within the township on the [[Presque Isle River]] near the junction of [[U.S. Route 2 in Michigan|U.S. Highway 2]] and [[M-64 (Michigan highway)|M-64]] at {{coord|46|22|35|N|89|41|47|W|}}.<ref>{{gnis|1620705|Marenisco, Michigan}}</ref> [[Wakefield, Michigan|Wakefield]] is about {{convert|15|mi}} northwest, and [[Watersmeet, Michigan|Watersmeet]] about {{convert|27|mi}} southeast on US 2.

The name was formed by combining the first three letters from Mary Enid Scott, the wife of E. H. It is the second-largest township in land area in Michigan (after [[McMillan Township, Luce County, Michigan|McMillan Township]] in [[Luce County, Michigan|Luce County]]).
