The population density was {{convert|131.4|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 141 housing units at an average density of {{convert|63.7|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the town was 6.53% [[Race (United States census)|White]], 91.75% [[Race (United States census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States census)|African American]], 0.69% [[Race (United States census)|Native American]], and 1.03% from two or more races.

There were 114 households, out of which 30.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 32.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 21.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.6% were non-families. 37.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.44.

In the town the population was spread out, with 29.9% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females, there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males.
