According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of 35.6&nbsp;square miles (92.2&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>), of which, 35.5&nbsp;square miles (92.0&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of it is land and 0.1&nbsp;square miles (0.2&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of it (0.17%) is water.

==Demographics==
As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 834 people, 251 households, and 204 families living in the town. The [[population density]] was 23.5 people per square mile (9.1/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 292 housing units at an average density of 8.2 per square mile (3.2/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the town was 98.08% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.72% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 1.20% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.12% of the population.

There were 251 households, out of which 42.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.1% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 4.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.7% were non-families. 15.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.32 and the average family size was 3.80.
