==Geography==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|1.19|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which, {{convert|0.87|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.32|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is water. The town of Lowell is surrounded by three reservoirs, respectively Dexter, [[Lookout Point Lake|Lookout Point]], and [[Fall Creek Lake|Fall Creek]]. The climate of Lowell differs slightly from that of Eugene, which is at lower elevation. Lowell receives {{convert|8|in|cm}} more of rain and {{convert|2|in|mm}} more of snow per year than Eugene. In central Lane County, that two inches is significant considering the lack of snow. The higher areas of the town receive more snow and rain as well. There were 436 housing units at an average density of {{convert|501.1|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 90.9% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.7% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.7% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 6.0% from two or more races. The racial makeup of the city was 91.83% White, 1.98% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.23% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.28% from other races, and 4.43% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.55% of the population. There were 315 households, out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.4% were married couples living together, 13.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.8% were non-families. 18.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.10.<ref name ="wwwcensusgov"/>

In the city, the population was 27.9% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.1 males. The median income for a household in the city was $35,536, and the median income for a family was $41,563. Males had a median income of $31,484 versus $18,125 for females.
