In the town, 20.5% of the population was under the age of 18, 5.1% was from 18 to 24, 38.5% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% was 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 77.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 55.0 males. The median income for a household in the town was $24,583, and the median income for a family was $42,500. Males had a median income of $32,500 versus $16,250 for females. There were no families and 9.8% of the population living below the [[poverty line]], including no under eighteens and none of those over 64. ==Education== Lockhart High School closed in 2007.
