[[John Woolman]] attended Quaker meeting at Little Creek in late summer 1748 during a visit to the Southern Counties of [[Delaware]].

There were 74 housing units at an average density of {{convert|675.7|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|units&nbsp;|units|}}. The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#2000 census|racial makeup]] of the town was 91.28% White, 6.67% African American, 0.51% Native American, 0.51% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. Of the 67 households 40.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.3% were married couples living together, 14.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.4% were non-families. 20.9% of households were one person and 13.4% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.91 and the average family size was 3.32.

The age distribution was 33.8% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 14.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.4% 65 or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 87.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.7 males.

The median household income was $39,375 and the median family income was $41,563. Males had a median income of $27,250 versus $25,000 for females. The per capita income for the town was $13,418.
