The [[population density]] was {{convert|841.4|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 1,114 housing units at an average density of {{convert|795.7|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the village was 97.3% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.2% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.3% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.3% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.5% of the population.

There were 599 households, of which 17.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 44.7% were non-families. 40.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 21.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The racial makeup of the village was 98.82% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.19% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.36% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.18% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.45% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.54% of the population.

==Harbor==

Lexington Harbor was constructed and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as authorized by the River and Harbor Act of 1965.<ref>{{cite web|title=US Army Corps of Engineers|url=http://www.lre.usace.army.mil/Missions/Operations/LexingtonHarbor,MI.aspx|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130707133829/http://www.lre.usace.army.mil/Missions/Operations/LexingtonHarbor,MI.aspx|url-status=dead|archive-date=July 7, 2013|website=lre.usace.army.mil |accessdate=July 23, 2014}}</ref> The harbor serves mainly recreational boating activities and contains launch/retrieval ramps, fueling facilities, and 190 berthing slips which are operated by both public and private agencies.

Due to infiltration of sediment through and along the peripheral breakwalls, the harbor requires regular dredging to maintain navigable channels.
