It was named by J. E. On January 12, 2004, the city's firehall exploded, destroying it and the nearby [[grain elevator|elevator]]. It also damaged many nearby houses and businesses. Since then both the firehall and elevator have been rebuilt. ==Geography== Lake Wilson is in western Murray County. It is bordered to the north, west, and south by [[Chanarambie Township, Murray County, Minnesota|Chanarambie Township]] and to the east by [[Leeds Township, Murray County, Minnesota|Leeds Township]]. Minnesota State Highways [[Minnesota State Highway 30|30]] and [[Minnesota State Highway 91|91]] are two of the main routes in the community.
