It is part of the [[Baton Rouge, Louisiana|Baton Rouge]] [[Baton Rouge metropolitan area|Metropolitan Statistical Area]].

The racial makeup of the village was 81.48% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 17.09% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.09% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.47% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.85% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.85% of the population.

==Education==
Killian is within the [[Livingston Parish Public Schools]] system. The local government of Killian has yet to build a school of its own. Instead, the students in the area attend nearby Springfield Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.
