==Geography==
Keota is located in eastern Keokuk County and the city limits extend east into Washington County to encompass a [[golf course]]. The city is {{convert|15|mi}} east of [[Sigourney, Iowa|Sigourney]], the Keokuk [[county seat]], and {{convert|17|mi}} northwest of [[Washington, Iowa|Washington]].
