==Geography==

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 3,195 people, 1,136 households, and 892 families residing in the city.  The population density was {{convert|1,008.5|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  There were 1,173 housing units at an average density of {{convert|370.3|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  The racial makeup of the city was 94.80% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.16% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.66% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.75% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.03% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.44% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.16% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 4.82% of the population.

There were 1,136 households, out of which 45.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.9% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% were non-families. 16.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.81 and the average family size was 2.16.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 30.1% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 40.8% from 25 to 44, 16.7% from 45 to 64, and 5.0% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females, there were 103.1 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $57,019, and the median income for a family was $61,651. Males had a median income of $40,717 versus $26,823 for females.
