The [[population density]] was {{convert|201.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 110 housing units at an average density of {{convert|118.3|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 95.2% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.5% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.1% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 3.2% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 5.9% of the population.

There were 94 households, of which 20.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.4% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 46.8% were non-families. 39.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The population density was {{convert|233.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  There were 112 housing units at an average density of {{convert|121.8|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  The racial makeup of the city was 98.60% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.93% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 0.47% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.40% of the population.

There were 103 households, out of which 29.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.0% were non-families. 34.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.62.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 22.8% under the age of 18, 3.3% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 18.1% from 45 to 64, and 29.8% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 115.0 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $21,058, and the median income for a family was $26,875. Males had a median income of $31,563 versus $20,313 for females. The [[per capita income]] for the city was $12,982.  About 15.3% of families and 18.4% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 29.5% of those under the age of eighteen and 13.2% of those 65 or over.

==Politics==
Holland is located in [[Minnesota's 7th congressional district]] for the U.S. House of Representatives. [[Michelle Fischbach]], a Republican, won in 2020 over longtime incumbent [[Collin Peterson]], a member of the [[Democratic-Farmer-Labor]].

At the state level, Holland is located in [[Minnesota Senate|Senate]] District 22, represented by [[Republican Party of Minnesota|Republican]] [[Bill Weber (Minnesota politician)|Bill Weber]], and in [[Minnesota House of Representatives|House]] District 22A, represented by Republican [[Joe Schomacker]].
