According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of 35.7&nbsp;square miles (92.6&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>), of which, 35.0&nbsp;square miles (90.8&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) is land and 0.7&nbsp;square miles (1.8&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) is water.

==Demographics==
As of the census<ref name="GR2" /> [[2000 United States census|of 2000]], there were 364 people, 138 households, and 100 families residing in the town. The [[population density]] was 10.4 people per square mile (4.0/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 197 housing units at an average density of 5.6 per square mile (2.2/km<sup>2</sup>). The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census|racial makeup]] of the town was 98.63% White, 0.82% Native American, 0.27% Asian, and 0.27% Pacific Islander. Hispanic or Latino people of any race were 0.27% of the population.

There were 138 households, out of which 32.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.5% were non-families. 21.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.03.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 26.6% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 122.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.9 males.
