==Geography==

State Routes [[Georgia State Route 15|15]] and [[Georgia State Route 29|29]] pass through the center of Higgston together as James Street and lead northwest {{convert|13|mi}} to [[Soperton, Georgia|Soperton]], while [[Georgia State Route 135|State Route 135]] leads south from US 280 13 miles to [[Uvalda, Georgia|Uvalda]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], Higgston has a total area of {{convert|3.2|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|0.01|sqmi|2}}, or 0.32%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> Rocky Creek passes through the east side of town, flowing southeast to the [[Ohoopee River]] in [[Tattnall County, Georgia|Tattnall County]].
