In 1850, the village of '''Morristown''' was established. It was renamed '''Henryville''' in 1853 to honor Colonel Henry Ferguson, who was once a colonel in the [[Whiskey Rebellion#Militia expedition|Pennsylvania militia]]. As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 1,545 people, 583 households, and 434 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|535.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 609 housing units at an average density of {{convert|211.1|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.16% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.06% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.13% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.26% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], and 0.39% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.26% of the population.

There were 583 households, out of which 38.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.4% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.07.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 26.1% under the age of 18, 10.4% from 18 to 24, 32.6% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.4 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $49,405, and the median income for a family was $55,000. Males had a median income of $38,938 versus $22,043 for females.
