The [[population density]] was {{convert|56.8|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 449 housing units at an average density of {{convert|22.5|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|units&nbsp;|units|}}. The racial makeup of the city was 97.3% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.9% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.9% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.3% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.6% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.6% of the population.

The racial makeup of the city was 97.77% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.36% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.45% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.27% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.54% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.62% from two or more races. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 114.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $49,545, and the median income for a family was $51,719. Males had a median income of $37,917 versus $25,703 for females.
