==Geography==
Granada is in eastern Martin County along County Road 53.  It is one mile north of [[Interstate 90 in Minnesota|Interstate 90]] and {{convert|8|mi|0}} northeast of [[Fairmont, Minnesota|Fairmont]], the [[county seat]].

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|0.57|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, all land.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> Center Creek passes through the southern end of the city, flowing easterly to join the [[Blue Earth River]] south of [[Winnebago, Minnesota|Winnebago]].

The racial makeup of the city was 98.7% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.3% from two or more races. The racial makeup of the city was 99.68% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 0.32% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]]. 0.32% of the population were [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race.

There were 131 households, out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 4.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.7% were non-families. 38.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 3.37.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 27.1% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 29.0% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 104.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $31,042, and the median income for a family was $42,917. Males had a median income of $23,750 versus $22,500 for females. Out of the total population, 8.1% of those under the age of 18 and 5.0% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.

==Education==
Granada is part of the Granada-Huntley-East Chain School District. The school's boys' basketball team won the MSHSL Class A State Championship in 2009.
