==Geography==

[[U.S. Route 62]] passes through the town, leading east to Eureka Springs and [[Berryville, Arkansas|Berryville]] and southwest to [[Rogers, Arkansas|Rogers]]. [[Arkansas Highway 37]] leads north to the Missouri line, where [[Missouri Route 37]] continues north to [[Seligman, Missouri|Seligman]] and [[Cassville, Missouri]]. Gateway is on a plateau in the [[Ozarks]] at {{convert|1600|ft}} above sea level, overlooking the valley of the [[White River (Arkansas)|White River]] and [[Beaver Lake (Arkansas)|Beaver Lake]] to the south.

The racial makeup of the town was 96.55% [[Race (United States Census)|White]] and 3.45% [[Race (United States Census)|Native American]].

There were 43 households, out of which 39.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 2.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% were non-families. 20.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.27.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 26.7% under the age of 18, 12.1% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 28.4% from 45 to 64, and 6.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
