The village is concentrated around the intersection of [[Ohio State Route 133|State Route 133]] and [[Ohio State Route 222|State Route 222]], a few miles north of the [[Ohio River]].

The racial makeup of the village was 98.7% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.5% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.1% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.4% from two or more races.
