'''Falkner''' is a town in [[Tippah County, Mississippi|Tippah County]], [[Mississippi]], United States. The population was 514 at the 2010 census. The town was named for [[William Clark Falkner]], the great-grandfather of author [[William Faulkner]].

==Geography==
Falkner lies north of [[Ripley, Mississippi|Ripley]] along [[Mississippi Highway 15]].  Just south of Falkner, MS 15 intersects [[Mississippi Highway 370]], which connects it with [[Ashland, Mississippi|Ashland]] to the west.

The population density was {{convert|199.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 90 housing units at an average density of {{convert|84.5|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the town was 97.64% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.94% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.94% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.47% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.83% of the population.

There were 85 households, out of which 31.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% were non-families. 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.92.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 22.6% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 19.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 114.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $28,750, and the median income for a family was $38,036. Males had a median income of $25,000 versus $19,167 for females.
