==Geography==
Fairview is located along [[Missouri Route 86]] in southeastern Newton County. It is approximately 18 miles east-southeast of [[Neosho, Missouri|Neosho]] and one mile west of the [[Barry County, Missouri|Barry]]-Newton county line. The racial makeup of the city was 91.6% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.8% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 2.9% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.3% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 2.1% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 2.3% from two or more races. The [[Horner Institute]], a [[private school]] offering courses of study from the eighth grade through [[High school (North America)|high school]], was located in Fairview from 1908 until merging with the Stella Academy and moving to [[Stella, Missouri|Stella]] in 1912.
