Evergreen is a suburb of [[Kalispell, Montana|Kalispell]], the [[county seat]].

==Geography==
Evergreen is located in central Flathead County on the northeast side of Kalispell. It is bordered to the east by the [[Flathead River]], and the [[Whitefish River (Montana)|Whitefish River]] flows through the western side of the CDP.

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the Evergreen CDP has a total area of {{convert|22.8|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|22.3|km2|order=flip}} is land and {{convert|0.5|km2|order=flip|1}}, or 2.32%, is water.<ref name="Census 2010"/>

This [[climate|climatic]] region is typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. The [[population density]] was 884.4 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.9% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.0% [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census|Black or African American]], 2.2% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.5% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.1% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 2.9% from two or more races and [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 6.4% of the population.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.5% under the age of 18, and 12.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The percentage of females was 54.8.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $59,338, and the per capita income for the past 12 months was $24,527. The number of people in poverty was 7.4%.

==Government==
Being [[Unincorporated area#United States|unincorporated]], Evergreen does not have a local government. The Evergreen Elementary District educates students from kindergarten through 8th grade. ==Infrastructure==
[[U.S. Route 2 in Montana|U.S. Route 2]] passes through the community from north to south. It runs northeast {{Convert|29|mi}} to [[West Glacier, Montana|West Glacier]], at the entrance to [[Glacier National Park (U.S.)|Glacier National Park]]. The center of Kalispell is {{convert|4|mi|0}} southwest of Evergreen via US 2 and [[U.S. Route 93]]. [[Montana Highway 35]] leads southeast from Evergreen {{convert|20|mi}} to [[Bigfork, Montana|Bigfork]].

[[Glacier Park International Airport]] provides commercial air service.
