Ekron along with the neighboring towns of [[Brandenburg, Kentucky|Brandenberg]] and [[Irvington, Kentucky|Irvington]] are now featured in the open world survival horror game ''[[Project Zomboid]]'' as of the recent release of the beta for the upcoming Build 42 of the game. The town is included alongside other neighboring towns such as [[West Point, Kentucky|West Point]] and [[Muldraugh, Kentucky|Muldraugh]], which have been core towns through out the game's history, along with the city of [[Louisville, Kentucky|Louisville]].
