The [[population density]] was {{convert|1082.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 169 housing units at an average density of {{convert|603.6|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the town was 98.3% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.3% [[Race (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.7% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.7% of the population.

The racial makeup of the town was 97.80% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.55% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.28% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.38% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.65% of the population.

==Power generation==

The [[Edwardsport IGCC|Edwardsport Power Station]] located to the south of the town provides energy to the region.
