==Geography==
Edwards is in the valley of the [[Eagle River (Colorado)|Eagle River]] and extends southwards up the valleys of Lake Creek and Colorow Creek, at the north end of the [[Sawatch Range]]. It is bordered to the east by the town of [[Avon, Colorado|Avon]]. [[U.S. Route 6]] runs through the center of Edwards on the south side of the Eagle River, while [[Interstate 70]] runs through the CDP north of the river, with access from Exit 163. Via I-70, it is {{convert|14|mi}} east to [[Vail, Colorado|Vail]], {{convert|110|mi}} east to [[Denver]], {{convert|17|mi}} west to [[Eagle, Colorado|Eagle]], and {{convert|47|mi}} west to [[Glenwood Springs, Colorado|Glenwood Springs]].

There were 2,852 households, out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.8% were non-families. 18.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.89 and the average family size was 3.24.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 25.4% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 40.4% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 2.8% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 116.5 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 122.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $70,869, and the median income for a family was $83,887. Males had a median income of $42,009 versus $31,377 for females.
