==Geography==
According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the township has a total area of {{convert|23.2|sqmi|km2}}, all land. It includes the communities of [[Mechanics Grove, Pennsylvania|Mechanic Grove]], Puseyville, Unicorn, and Drumore Center, and part of [[Buck, Pennsylvania|Buck]] and Henzel.

The population density was {{convert|152.2|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 1,079 housing units at an average density of {{convert|46.5|/mi2|/km2|disp=preunit|units&nbsp;|units|}}. The racial makeup of the township was 98.36% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.45% [[African American (U.S. Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 0.03% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.14% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.06% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.62% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.34% from two or more races. 0.82% of the population were [[Hispanics in the United States|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race.

There were 1,055 households, out of which 38.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.9% were non-families. 14.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.31.

In the township the population was spread out, with 27.8% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 19.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 90.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.9 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $47,237, and the median income for a family was $49,726. Males had a median income of $36,768 versus $22,398 for females.
