==Geography==
Driftwood is located in southern Cameron County at {{Coord|41|20|20|N|78|8|8|W|type:city}} (41.338836, -78.135535),<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> at the confluence of the [[Bennett Branch Sinnemahoning Creek|Bennett Branch]] and the [[Driftwood Branch Sinnemahoning Creek|Driftwood Branch]] of [[Sinnemahoning Creek]], an east-flowing tributary of the [[West Branch Susquehanna River]]. The community is at the bottom of a gorge carved {{convert|1200|ft}} deep or more into the [[Allegheny Plateau]] by the creek and its branches.

[[Pennsylvania Route 120]] passes through Driftwood, following the Driftwood Branch north (upstream) {{convert|18|mi}} to [[Emporium, Pennsylvania|Emporium]], the Cameron County seat, and following Sinnemahoning Creek and the West Branch of the Susquehanna east (downstream) {{convert|27|mi}} to [[Renovo, Pennsylvania|Renovo]]. [[Pennsylvania Route 555]] leads west from Driftwood up the Bennett Branch {{convert|25|mi}} to [[Weedville, Pennsylvania|Weedville]].

The racial makeup of the borough was 100.00% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]].

There were 49 households, out of which 18.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.9% were non-families. 36.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.82.

In the borough the population was spread out, with 19.4% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 29.1% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 102.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $21,458, and the median income for a family was $44,167. Males had a median income of $32,250 versus $28,333 for females. There were 35 households, out of which 17.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.9% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.7% were non-families. 40% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
