He worked at the [[Leo Burnett]] agency in [[Chicago|Chicago, Illinois]]. The agency placed anthropomorphic faces of 'critters' on packaged goods. Tennant was in charge of the [[Marlboro (cigarette)|Marlboro]] account and invented the [[Marlboro Man]].
