== Geography ==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of 18.3&nbsp;square miles (47.4&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>), of which, 16.7&nbsp;square miles (43.2&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of it is land and 1.6&nbsp;square miles (4.3&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>) of it (9.01%) is water.

== Demographics ==
As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 479 people, 184 households, and 140 families residing in the town.  The population density was {{convert|28.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  There were 203 housing units at an average density of {{convert|12.2|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  The racial makeup of the town was 98.96% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.63% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]] and 0.42% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.42% of the population.

There were 184 households, out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.4% were non-families. 18.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 2.92.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 23.6% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 30.1% from 45 to 64, and 9.2% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 111.0 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 114.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $52,031, and the median income for a family was $58,333. Males had a median income of $40,804 versus $23,750 for females. About 3.8% of families and 3.7% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 1.9% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
