The [[Black River (Wisconsin)|Black River]], a tributary of the [[Mississippi River]], flows across the southeast corner of the town; the northern half of Lake Arbutus, an impoundment on the river, is within the town. In the town, the population was spread out, with 15.3% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 20.6% from 25 to 44, 35.8% from 45 to 64, and 23.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females, there were 109.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 110.9 males. The median income for a household in the town was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $38,125. Males had a median income of $28,438 versus $22,917 for females.
