The population was 5,067 at the [[2000 United States Census|2000 census]]. For the [[2010 United States census|2010 census]], the area was split into two separate CDPs, [[Devon, Pennsylvania|Devon]] and [[Berwyn, Pennsylvania|Berwyn]]. The area is part of the [[Philadelphia Main Line]] suburbs of [[Philadelphia]].

The population density was {{convert|2,028.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 2,035 housing units at an average density of {{convert|814.5|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.26% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 4.52% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.16% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 2.39% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.06% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.61% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.14% of the population.
