Curtin Township is bordered by [[Clinton County, Pennsylvania|Clinton County]] to the north and east, [[Liberty Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania|Liberty Township]] to the east, [[Howard Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania|Howard Township]] to the south and [[Boggs Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania|Boggs]], [[Snow Shoe Township, Pennsylvania|Show Shoe]] and [[Burnside Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania|Burnside]] townships to the west.

The [[population density]] was 12.5 people per square mile (4.8/km<sup>2</sup>).  There were 339 housing units at an average density of 7.7/sq&nbsp;mi (3.0/km<sup>2</sup>).  The racial makeup of the township was 99.27% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.18% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 0.54% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.18% of the population.

There were 207 households, out of which 30.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.7% were non-families. 18.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the township the population was spread out, with 23.8% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 34.3% from 25 to 44, 21.1% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 112.7 males.  For every 100 females aged 18 and over, there were 104.9 males.

The median income for a household in the township was $32,188, and the median income for a family was $35,875. Males had a median income of $27,500 versus $21,136 for females. About 10.3% of families and 9.8% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 13.3% of those under age 18 and 14.3% of those age 65 or over.
