The [[population density]] was {{convert|708.3|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 291 housing units at an average density of {{convert|346.4|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the village was 97.5% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.8% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.8% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.8% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.5% of the population.

There were 257 households, of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.3% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.3% were non-families. 28.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The median age in the village was 44.5 years. 25.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 21.5% were from 25 to 44; 30.2% were from 45 to 64; and 19.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 46.7% male and 53.3% female.

The racial makeup of the village was 98.32% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.17% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.34% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.18% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.02% of the population.

As of 2000 the median income for a household in the village was $32,727, and the median income for a family was $39,875. Males had a median income of $31,607 versus $17,212 for females.
