Cruger is in the northwest corner of Holmes County, in the [[Mississippi Delta]] region along [[U.S. Route 49E]]. [[Greenwood, Mississippi|Greenwood]] is {{convert|15|mi}} north of Cruger via US 49E, and [[Yazoo City, Mississippi|Yazoo City]] is {{convert|37|mi}} to the south.

The racial makeup of the town was  74.16% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]] 25.61% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 0.22% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.23% of the population.
