==Geography==
Cross Mountain is located in northwestern Bexar County. It is bordered by the city of San Antonio to the east and the CDP of [[Scenic Oaks, Texas|Scenic Oaks]] to the north. Downtown San Antonio is {{convert|22|mi}} to the southeast.

As of the [[2020 United States census]], there were 3,944 people, 909 households, and 812 families residing in the CDP.

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 1,524 people, 529 households, and 464 families residing in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|207.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 555 housing units at an average density of {{convert|75.6|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.88% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 2.62% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.52% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 1.44% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 3.28% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.25% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 18.50% of the population.

There were 529 households, out of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.1% were non-families. 9.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The median income for a household in the CDP was $102,628, and the median income for a family was $104,744. Males had a median income of $64,821 versus $37,228 for females.
