==History==
Crawford was incorporated on February 11, 1828, under the name Adams, presumably after then-incumbent [[President of the United States|President]], [[John Q. Adams]].  The name was changed to Crawford only 17 days later on February 28, 1828, in honor of former [[Secretary of Treasury]] [[William H. The racial makeup of the town was 100.0% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]]. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.9% of the population.
