It is part of the [[Brunswick, Georgia|Brunswick]] [[Metropolitan Statistical Area|metropolitan statistical area]]. The population was 8,373 at the [[2020 United States census|2020 census]],<ref name=2020CensusP2/> down from 8,545 in 2010.

==Geography==
Country Club Estates is located at {{coord|31|12|41|N|81|28|7|W|type:city}} (31.211438, -81.468663).<ref name="GR1">{{cite web|url=https://www.census.gov/geographies/reference-files/time-series/geo/gazetteer-files.html|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|accessdate=2011-04-23|date=2011-02-12|title=US Gazetteer files: 2010, 2000, and 1990}}</ref> It is bordered to the south by the city of Brunswick and to the east by the Back River, an arm of the tidal [[Mackay River]]. [[U.S. Route 17]] passes through the center of the CDP, leading south {{convert|5|mi|0}} into downtown Brunswick and north {{convert|12|mi}} to [[Darien, Georgia|Darien]]. The CDP extends north as far as Chapel Crossing Road west of US 17 and Yacht Drive east of US 17.
