==Geography==
Converse is located in the southeast corner of Miami County and in northwestern Grant County. Indiana State Roads [[Indiana State Road 18|18]] and [[Indiana State Road 19|19]] pass through the center of town together as Marion Street, splitting {{convert|2.5|mi|1}} to the east in [[Mier, Indiana|Mier]], and {{convert|3|mi|0}} to the west. SR 19 leads northwest {{convert|18|mi}} to [[Peru, Indiana|Peru]], the Miami [[county seat]], and southeast {{convert|7|mi|0}} to [[Swayzee, Indiana|Swayzee]], while SR 18 leads east {{convert|12|mi}} to [[Marion, Indiana|Marion]], the Grant county seat, and west {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Galveston, Indiana|Galveston]]. [[Converse Airport]] is {{convert|1|mi}} west of the town.

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], Converse has a total area of {{convert|0.99|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|0.002|sqmi|3}}, or 0.20%, are water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2022"/> Little Pipe Creek runs along the western border of the town, and Taylor Creek crosses the eastern extension of the town. Both creeks run north to [[Pipe Creek (Wabash River tributary)|Pipe Creek]], a northwest-flowing tributary of the [[Wabash River]].

The racial makeup of the town was 97.5% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.1% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.2% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.1% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.1% [[Race (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 1.1% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.9% from two or more races.
