Concord is mostly bounded by highways—by [[Interstate 255]], [[U.S. Route 67 in Missouri|U.S. Route 67]] (locally called [[Lindbergh Boulevard]] and co-signed here with [[U.S. Route 50 in Missouri|U.S. Route 50]] and [[U.S. Route 61 in Missouri|U.S. Route 61]]), [[Missouri Route 21|Route 21]] (known locally as Tesson Ferry Road), and [[Missouri Route 30|Route 30]] (known locally as Gravois Road). [[Interstate 270 (Missouri-Illinois)|Interstate 270]] bisects the CDP's southern node.

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 16,689 people, 6,926 households, and 5,000 families living in the CDP. The population density was {{convert|3,027.0|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 7,079 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1,283.9|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.95% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.31% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.09% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.83% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.01% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.25% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 0.57% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 0.84% of the population.

There were 6,926 households, out of which 25.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.6% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% were non-families. 24.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 12.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.88.

In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 20.6% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 27.9% from 45 to 64, and 21.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.2 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $55,275, and the median income for a family was $64,155. Males had a median income of $47,975 versus $31,675 for females. Concord contains land in the [[Lindbergh School District]] in the north and the [[Mehlville School District]] in the south, although only a few schools, Mehlville's Washington Middle School and Trautwein Elementary School, are located inside Concord itself (Lindbergh's Concord Elementary is in [[Sappington, Missouri|Sappington]].)

All residents of the Lindbergh district are zoned to [[Lindbergh High School (Missouri)|Lindbergh High School]]. Residents of the Mehlville district are zoned to [[Mehlville High School]]
