'''Clinton''' is a village in [[Lenawee County, Michigan|Lenawee County]] in the [[Irish Hills]] area of the [[U.S. state]] of [[Michigan]]. The population was 2,336 at the [[United States Census, 2010|2010 census]].  The village is located within [[Clinton Township, Lenawee County, Michigan|Clinton Township]].

Both the village and township are named in honor of [[DeWitt Clinton]], the governor of [[New York (state)|New York]] from 1817 to 1828.

The [[population density]] was {{convert|1269.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 1,053 housing units at an average density of {{convert|572.3|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the village was 96.6% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.5% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.7% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.4% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 1.6% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.4% of the population.

The racial makeup of the village was 98.52% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], .13% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], .22% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], .13% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], .44% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and .57% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.66% of the population.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 27.3% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 90.6 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $47,961, and the median income for a family was $52,111. Males had a median income of $45,750 versus $29,500 for females. About 4.1% of families and 6.5% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 10.9% of those under age 18 and 3.3% of those age 65 or over.
