At the [[2010 United States Census|2010 census]] there were 1,352 people, 549 households, and 392 families living in the town. The population density was {{convert|37.4|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 779 housing units at an average density of {{convert|21.5|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#2010 census|racial makeup]] of the town was 97.3% White, 0.1% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.81.

The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#2000 census|racial makeup]] of the town was 98.46% White, 1.20% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 0.26% from two or more races. The median household income was $31,563 and the median family income  was $35,938. Males had a median income of $29,615 versus $20,592 for females. The per capita income for the town was $15,376.  About 10.0% of families and 12.7% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 10.7% of those under age 18 and 15.2% of those age 65 or over.
