The [[population density]] was 1,573.3 inhabitants per square mile (606.4/km{{sup|2}}). There were 721 housing units at an average density of 366.6 per square mile (141.3/km{{sup|2}}). The racial makeup of the town was 97.09% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.10% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.29% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.52% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.19% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.52% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.29% from two or more races. As the bedroom community grew and the prospect of businesses locating in Cedar Hills loomed, there was a dispute as to whether stores should be allowed to [[Blue law|open on Sunday]] and whether [[alcoholic beverage|alcohol]] should be allowed to be sold.
