The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.24. In the town, the population was spread out, with 28.1% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 106.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.6 males. The median income for a household in the town was $53,462, and the median income for a family was $59,145. Males had a median income of $36,384 versus $23,750 for females. The [[Manitowoc River]] runs its course about two and a half miles south of Cato. The nearest [[Interstate Highway System|Interstate highway]] is [[Interstate 43]], where an exit near [[Manitowoc Rapids, Wisconsin|Manitowoc Rapids]] links with US 10.
